Is your make up on Flique? πŸ’„ πŸ’‹

πŸ’„ πŸ’‹
If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me raving about Charlotte Crosby's new lipstick range last week!  I seen Charlotte promoting her new products on her Instagram, had a quick look and thought I'd give them a go!  Any excuse to buy more make up!
I πŸ’› lipsticks and the 3 things I look for when buying them are:
πŸ’„They have to be long-lasting, I don't want to be re-applying my lipstick every time I drink or eat  something ✊ πŸ’„I have dry, cracked πŸ’‹ so lipsticks that also moisturize are an added bonus for me and will make me 100% more likely to buy more shades of that product! πŸ’„Beautiful shades lure me in!  My favourite shade right now is purple!  MAC "up the amp" is to die for!  See...

I bought the matte lipsticks in two shades, "Poppy Pink" and "Nude on Flique" and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I tried these lippies.  They remind me of one of my all time favourite matte lipsticks, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream.

I love to review products!  Either products I have bought and want to rave about or products that I have received to give an honest, open review.
I'm a Bzz Agent and have been since 2015 reviewing products ranging from beauty, personal hygiene to fitness.

The Sew Powerful Purse Program ✂

Image
I came across "The Sew Powerful Purse Program" who are looking for people to sew a cross body purse to help keep girls in school all month and provide jobs to seamstresses in Lusaka!

"In East Africa girls miss an average of 6 weeks of school each year because they are on their period, and without access to feminine hygiene product, they simply stay home."

When I read about this program I knew I had to get involved!  The next deadline to ship a purse to them is October 2017.  If you want to get involved you can find information on their website and download a free pattern for the purse and a video tutorial!

You can also learn more about how the purses create academic achievement in Zambia and learn about the issue of Menstrual Hygiene Management.

Dressmaking ✂

Image
I've had a lot of hobbies in my time and never stick to them.  I decided to sign up for a dressmaking class several years ago and started making a dress, however, I never stuck with it so I put my sewing machine in the loft and forgot about it, until one day I decided I wanted to make my daughter a patchwork quilt that she could keep for a long time.  I got my machine from the loft, dusted it off and now dressmaking & quilting is a hobby I've completely fallen in love with! πŸ’—  It allows me to be creative and make fun things which is a nice way to do something for yourself when you're a mother.

I'm still very much a beginner and learning every day but I wanted to share with you a couple of things I've made so far and my current project I'm working on...

Bralette πŸ‘™
My first project was a bralette! I used black lace fabric and a soft jersey black fabric underneath with an elastic for the band and black satin ribbon to finish off the cups!  It's not pe…

When it comes to my nails I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of fake / acrylic nails.  I've tried them a few times and I find they just makes my life that much harder.  I'll give you some examples of things that I find annoying about long fake nails!

Typing on a keyboard and what's with the noise?Buttoning jeans - this can't just be me that finds this a nightmare?  Maybe my jeans are just too small hhhmmmmm.Opening a can like soup or fizzy juice! How many times have you got your nails caught in your hair once they start to grow out? Ouch!Changing my baby's nappy, I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate those long nails going near her delicate parts, I certainty wouldn't 😨
I decided rather than pay a salon to do my nails when a lot of time I don't think they look perfect anyway and I don't have the time to visit a salon every couple of weeks so I made the decision to invest in my own UV Lamp from Amazon for a rather cheap price!

Make-Up πŸ’‹

Image
πŸ’› Lets talk about make-up....

I love, love, love make-up and probably spend too much money on beauty products.  LOL only joking, that's ridiculous, right?

Anyway I wanted to share with you guys what make-up products I've found that work best for me over the years and share some photos!

My skin is fair, prone to blemishes and sometimes becomes quite oily.  My hair used to be brunette until recently so you will see how the make-up looks on dark and fair hair.

πŸ’‹ I use an overnight mask by Clinique (Moisture Surge Overnight Mask).  This mask is great for my skin, I find that when I wake in the morning that my skin looks healthier with a nice glow to it.  Definitely a must have for me as I don't sleep well!

πŸ’‹ To prime my skin I use Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion to moisturize my face followed by MAC Strobe Cream in Peachlite to highlight my cheekbones, nose, between my brows, chin and I like to dab a bit on my cupids bow (middle part of your upper lip…
